Opioid Abuse, Deaths on the Rise
Abuse of opioid drugs is on the rise.
According to the CDC, about 130 Americans die each day of drug overdoses. That adds up to about 70,200 drug overdoses in 2017 - which is roughly equivalent to the population of Lake Charles.
