In the wake of the flooding caused by Hurricane Barry, the Calcasieu Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and the Parish Damage Assessment Team will begin doing visual, drive-by inspections of impacted areas in Calcasieu Parish.
Due to the excessive rainfall caused by Hurricane Barry, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness has issued an Emergency Declaration to close a portion of the Calcasieu River and the English Bayou, effective immediately.

Calcasieu Parish Waterworks District No. 5 of Wards 3 and 8 has issued a boil order, effective immediately, for a portion of the district due to a water main break.
Calcasieu Waterworks District No. 5 of Wards 3 and 8 has lifted the boil advisory for residents living on East Nick Claire Lane, from Kade Daniel to East Jake Oliver Lane, and East Jake Oliver addresses higher than 5532.

Calcasieu Waterworks District No. 5 of Wards 3 and 8 has lifted the boil advisory for residents living on Broad Street from Goodman Road, west to Bunker Road and for Hackberry, Jones and Oak streets.
