The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Medical Reserve Corps is accepting donations for critical medical supplies needed for the COVID-19 response efforts.

A group of healthcare and government agencies have opened a drive-through COVID-19 testing site at the Burton Complex, 7001 Gulf Highway, Lake Charles. The tests are for people with symptoms who are at high risk for complications.
In keeping with Gov. John Bel Edwards’ “Stay-at-Home” executive order to stop the spread of COVID-19, all Calcasieu Parish Police Jury buildings will be closed to the public beginning Tuesday, March 24.
In an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19, Calcasieu Parish Police Jury offices are open during normal business hours but with limited employees and services.

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has canceled its Regular Meeting scheduled for March 19, 2020. The Planning and Zoning Board meeting set for March 17 has also been canceled.
