Born and raised in Sulphur, Louisiana, Burton moved to Lake Charles in 2006. He is married to AunJelle LaFleur from Sulphur and they have two sons named Dillon and Tyler.

  • Previously Network Operations Coordinator and IT Project Manager for the Calcasieu Parish School System and served as a member of the Emergency Response Team as well as the Standards and Support Committee.
  • Has a number of industry technology certifications with vendors such as 3Com, HP, Cisco (CCNA) and Microsoft (MCSE, MCSA, MCP).
  • A member of the Louisiana Technology Council and the Southwest Louisiana Technology Council
  • Achieved PMP certification with the Project Management International organization since 2008. ITIL certified practitioner which is a set of vendor-neutral IT practices providing continuous service improvement including reducing costs and improving efficiency.
  • Youth sports coach for recreational soccer
